No true account reconciliation and importing is horribly complicated

I really wanted to like this app. It’s got a very clean interface and seems to have the functionality I need. However, while the app developer was helpful and curteous in his attempts to resolve my importing problem, I just couldn’t get it to import my account data properly.

Also, this is yet another personal finance app that fails to understand that reconciling an account has nothing to do with dates. It has nothing to do with opening balances. I know this because I can do it on paper and the paper never asks me for either fact. Here’s how reconciliation works in three steps: (1) Identify the transactions in your register that the bank shows (“cleared” transactions); (2) Take the bank’s balance and subtract the uncleared debits and add the uncleared deposits from your register; (3) If that value equals your register balance, the account is reconciled. That’s it. No dates involved.

If they fix the importing and reconciliation features, I will try it again. As it stands, the software is basically useless for me.
